Testing Programs

Testing Program

All regular education students shall participate in testing programs

established by law, including the West Virginia State/County Testing

Program and the WV-STEP (West Virginia - Statewide Testing of

Educational Progress). Special education students shall participate in

accordance with provisions of their individual education programs.

Each school shall be responsible for the development of summaries of

student performance, including item analysis (where applicable), and shall

review summaries over time to check for trends. Furthermore, it shall be

the responsibility of schools to plan curricular and instructional

modifications based on these summaries.

Test security measures shall be in place for all mandated state

testing in accordance with State Policy 2340.
