The Fruita Monument High School Baseball team has been doing well so far in the season. Currently, they are at 12-4 overall, the coaches are Casey Sullivanas the head coach and a global studies teacher at Fruita 8/9, Assistance coach Gary Boone.
Baseball player Brock Jones has said “I have been playing for 10 years now, I have played every chance I have gotten to play. I just like how the sport is played and the things that happen throughout the sport. I started playing when I was around 3 or 4. We have been good this season, we've won some games. I’d love to encourage people to play the sport. It's a very old sport and the longer it goes on the more entertainment people can get and the more fun people can have with the sport.” That's good news that the team is doing good and showing good growth.
Baseball player Jorge Martinez has said “I have been playing for around 15 years now, I love the game, it brings me joy and I have a lot of fun playing. The team has been doing well, we've been winning games and practicing for even better. I’d recommend this sport to everyone to at least try it, it’s fun and it has a lot of benefits for college, schools, etc and keeps you busy.” We hope to keep on seeing the team doing good but better in the future.
So as you have heard baseball is a good sport for getting in shape and making new friends while learning to be better at the sport you like. Baseball has good opportunities for the future and makes you look good during school now!
