If you are interested in a weekend outing, Fruita hosts a local farmers market every Saturday from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, if you are looking for a weekend outing! You can enjoy products from local vendors that provide a variety of things from hand-made crafts to freshly squeezed lemonade.
“My favorite thing to purchase from the farmers market is their palisade peaches!” Says an anonymous local, who loves the Fruita farmers market. There are multiple options when it comes to fresh produce within the Grand Valley. The Fruita’s farmers market often has a variety of fruits such as Palisade peaches and cherries. Other items sold at the Market are bakery items home-made by locals, and some ready-to-eat food by local food trucks.
“I like the artists they choose to perform!” States Sophia Van Fossan, a Fruita 8/9 student. There will be live music performed by a variety of local artists, to add to your entertainment during your time in the farmers market.
This can be entertainment for the whole family. There will be multiple activities for children that will include bump-in-jumps that are provided by “Willy’s Wanna Jump!” as well as a park nearby with a swing-set, playground, and on occasion some animals to pet.
So why don’t you come see the vendors every Saturday, from 8:30-12:00pm until October 28th, located in Reed park. Hope to see you there!
