The boys' baseball season started on February 26th, the coach, Casey Sullivan, has been coaching boys baseball for 16 years at FMHS! The team is off to a great start with a team of hardworking players. The whole team including the coach is very dedicated to this FMHS baseball team!
After a long interview with the head coach, Casey Sullivan, he says “ FMHS had 54 players tryout for the 2024 Spring season. During the season we practice every day except Sundays, mainly just playing games in the summer, and a couple of days per week throughout early fall and late winter. Varsity plays 23 games + postseason play. Junior Varsity and C-team are usually around 16-18 games. We offer a summer program for current and interested players to play on. We run fall workouts and a winter preseason camp that anyone can participate in. Then, players can try out to make our spring season team in late February.” As we can tell from what he says, the boy’s baseball team is a big sport that is important to our school and communities.
If you are interested in joining the baseball team next season or even the summer program they do, talk to Coach Sullivan for more information! Baseball is a great summer sport to play and even watch. Many opportunities come up when joining baseball, it’s a great way to spend time with friends while learning new skills.
