Local bands play all over town. They all play at local events, local breweries, and local events around the Grand Valley, but some bands are even available to play at private events such as weddings or parties. They play a wide variety of music anything from cover songs to original music. You can usually follow the band's page on Facebook and other social media platforms to get more information about the bands.
Here are some local bands you should definitely check out!
-Zolopht (This bands plays Reggae music)
-Tim and Richard ( This bands plays various genres)
-The Oxymorons ( This bands plays alot soft rock and pop)
-Peach Street Revival ( This bands plays psychedelic rock and roll)
I highly suggest taking the time to experience one of these awesome local bands. They really play some great music and put on a great show! These bands work together and try their best and that is something that everyone should do.
Some people may think differently about these bands so here are some responses from fellow 8th and freshman students.
Some students report that they have never been to a local show. For example, 8th grader Jersey Zambrano, says,“I have never gone and watched a local band before but I would definitely want to go and support a band that I would hope plays some form of country music.” 8th grader Jasper Cramer also says, “Honestly I don't know much about local bands and stuff but maybe they would be cool to go and watch.” A 9th grader Kyah Schoenfeldalso says, “I don't think there bad overall I just think if they got younger bands to play more the younger generation I would be more likely for me and probably lots of others to show up.”
After interviewing several people, it is apparent that students have little experience with any of our awesome local bands.
