The Cheer and Poms team has been working hard to show Fruita's spirit! The team has brought school spirit to every football game, basketball game, and pep assembly. The season started at the beginning of the school year and will continue until its end.
After interviewing Olivia Fay, one of the 5 Freshman girls on the cheer team, she stated, “We practice twice a week but we have acts and strength. I would like to try it out next year! And I would recommend other girls to try out.” The Poms and Cheer team is a good way to spend time with your friends while gaining strength. They practice almost every day of the week!
Another Freshman who has been performing on the poms' team, Mallory Nordine says “ I am definitely trying out again next year. It is so fun and I definitely recommend trying it if you love to dance because it is so fun and you meet so many people and have so many new connections and experiences! We practice every day of the week except Friday, Monday is optional, Tuesday is required, and Wednesday is required!!” Many of the girls love to be on this team and there are many opportunities that come with it!
