Ice Skating has been a popular winter holiday activity for several years. Ice skating is fun for everyone, even those who don’t know how to skate! These are a few places you can go skating.
River City Sportplex:
River City Sportplex is one of the most popular skating places in Grand Junction. They host hockey tournaments, public ice skating, and other fun activities. “Love this place for so many reasons. My kids love to ice skate here and they have assisting devices for the kiddos. Also, the curling leagues are awesome. Fun for the players and fun to watch. We will keep on coming back!” Says one of the reviews from Jessi Valdez. “River City Sportplex is the Grand Valley’s premier multi-purpose sports facility that provides programs for ice skating, figure skating, and ice hockey along with curling, corporate events, children's parties, rentals, and more!” Says their website. Make sure to try out River City if you enjoy ice skating!
Glacier Ice Arena
Glacier Ice Arena is a local ice skating organization here in Grand Junction. If you are wanting a family friendly ice skating experience, this is the place for you! “The Glacier Ice Arena is designed with everyone in mind. If you want to try ice skating in a fun and safe environment, we've got you covered. We also have classes to teach you how to skate and how to play hockey. For the more motivated people, we have recreational Figure Skating and Recreational Ice Hockey for children and adults. For the Die Hards, we also have Competitive Ice Hockey, and Competitive Figure Skating. For Date Night you can come skating together, or maybe bring you date to watch the CMU Mavericks College hockey team in action.” Says https://www.yelp.com/.
