If you, your friends, or your family want to find the best hiking trails close to you then you’re in the right place.
Dinosaur hill is a mile-long looping trail in Fruita, Co. It takes you past wildflowers, Dinosaur bones, and excavation sites. If you hike the full loop, this hike takes around 60-90 minutes to complete. This trail is made for all ages, and skill levels. There are signposts around the trail giving information about the fossils discovered there as well as signposts that mark the areas of interest. Leashed dogs are permitted as well.

This trail is 1.5 miles out and back near Grand Junction Co. The best time to visit this trail is between the months of April and October. This trail is considered a moderate trail but it has beautiful views, so it's worth it. One of the downsides to this trail is that it is a Colorado National Monument trail which charges a fee to enter.
$25 per car, $20 per motorcycle, $15 dollars if entering on foot or bike or you can also purchase a park specific annual pass for $45. Dogs are not allowed on this trail. Restrooms are only ¼ mile away from the trailhead.

Rattlesnake Arches Trail
https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/rattlesnake-arches
This is a very difficult trail with the length being 14.3 miles long out and back. Located right outside of Loma CO, this trail takes an average of 6 hours and 45 minutes to complete. This trail is popular for backpacking, camping, and hiking.
This trail takes lots of commitment and gets very hot. So, make sure to bring no less than 5 liters of water if you're attempting the whole trail. Dogs are allowed on this trail but I would not recommend it since there are climbing parts of the trail and would not be possible for smaller or older dogs. Due to the heat, I would leave the dogs home for this one.
Keep in mind that these trials are only a select few that the Grand junction, Fruita area has to offer, so if none of these suit you, there are plenty of other options.
