With the dismissal of the Fruita-89 staff, many students are sad to see them go. Numerous teachers have left a huge impact on kids from all different backgrounds, helping them get through the struggles that come along in their lives. It's an amazing thing when kids can have a teacher or staff member they will go to when something is going on in their lives.
Ms Seimons is an inspiration in and out of the classroom. She’s worked here for a year and teaches 8th-grade science and zoology. She enjoys hiking, running, biking, and skiing. She coaches the high school girl's basketball team as well. “Science is always a really interesting topic and it's cool to learn how the world works,”. Ever had a teacher who rushes you through your work and makes you feel dumb? Alina Galendez states “ I love her so much because she is so patient and helps me through every situation,”. Having a teacher who doesn't give up on you when you mess up or don't understand can be a huge thing for kids. It encourages a student to keep trying and ask questions in class. Ms Seimons's class is the favorite of many students due to how calm and kind she is.
Her class is not just a working environment but a calm safe place. With the soft green walls and delicate decorations, many students feel that the class is a comforting place to be. Kendra Grifee an 8th grader at Fruita 8/9 says “Her classroom is very comfortable and chill I like how like calm she is,”. Many different groups of students love to hang out in her classroom in the morning just because of how relaxing and warm the room is.
Thank you, Mrs. Seimons, for being a wonderful teacher and leaving students with lessons, memories, and knowledge. Look forward to the upcoming issue or some of the other articles where we will feature more of your favorite teachers.
