There have been a few fights around the school this year but most of them have been pretty recent. Most of them have been through 9th grade but there have been a couple of fights in 8th grade. Most of the quotes I have gotten have really been against fighting, calling it bad or not needed. Yet instead of me telling you about them, you can read them.
Fights around the school are common but what are some opinions from people around the school? According to 9th Grader, Cutter Rayside said “They're always fun to hear about and watch but it isn’t good for the culture around here, and the school freedom.” Fights might be interesting to hear about but it can make a school crackdown a lot more than they already do.
Mrs. Murray, a biology teacher at the 8/9 said “I’ve never really liked physical fighting, but I also haven’t seen any this year.” I chose this quote because even the teachers think it's a bad idea, which it is, even though she doesn’t have first-hand experience with dealing with them she still doesn’t like them.
After all of this I realize that most people don’t enjoy fighting or even needing to fight, it's not good for the school, or the people at the school. It doesn’t help anyone or solve any problems at all. The more fights there are, the less freedom the students have to do things they enjoy.
