When it is winter time everyone wants to get into the Christmas spirit and that usually happens with some sort of tradition.
Making or decorating Gingerbread Houses is a fun winter tradition for lots of families. Making gingerbread houses consists of making gingerbread and icing from scratch or just as simple as going to the store and buying a gingerbread house kit, either way works. If your family is competitive you can turn it into a contest.
You can purchase gingerbread house kits at walmart ranging from $5 to $50 or at target prices ranging from $4 to $35. If this is not something you have done before I suggest trying it, you might have a lot of fun.
Looking at Christmas lights is a fun way to bond with your family. This activity could consist of renting a cool limo and going around town or just as simple as driving around. You can load up the car with blankets, your favorite snacks, or hot chocolate while driving around listening to christmas music.
Faith Welage said “every christmas eve me and my family drive around and look at christmas lights, I look forward to it every year,”. This shows that just looking at Christmas lights brings so much joy.
There are also many other traditions that students in our school do. “Every year me and my family do an ornament exchange.” Says Mya Lara, this is a creative way to spend quality time with family this winter season. Some students also go skiing or snowboarding like Miles Coleman and JJ Martinez. Every tradition is special in its own way.
