Sunny days are coming our way. Colorado has lots of rivers where you can float, boat, fish, swim and so much more. There isn't really a set time on when you can go out and do all these things, at least when it is not below freezing. You can fish every day of the year but the best time is when autumn hits. It is still warm outside so you wouldn't have to wear a coat, but the fish are becoming hungry. If you don't like fishing and just want to swim, the rivers will be really warm in June, July and August. Have an iced cold drink and take a dip in the amazing warm water.
A 9th grader Braiden Maes that goes to fruita 8/9 states, “I really love the river that is where I can catch big fish. The best time to go fishing is in August but you can go wherever you feel like fishing. ” Braiden states that he loves to fish in the river especially in august where he catches the big fish. The river is more smooth and calm in august. So the fish are caught more and ready to eat.
A 9th grader, Sam Graves, that goes to Fruita 8/9 also states, “I love to fish in the lakes, off boats, or even in the river. I love fishing whenever, all the time in the year is good.” Sam states that fishing is pretty good all year around. There's ice fishing in the winter and normal fishing. Sam loves to fish off boats, lakes, rivers, basically anywhere there is a body of water.
Make sure to grab your fishing poles and swimsuits to get ready for an amazing summer! Colorado has amazing lakes and rivers all over, where you can catch huge fish and swim. Check out the Colorado River to fish or even the Gunnison river. There are also plenty of lakes where you can take your boat out and have a blast. Sunny, hot, sweaty days are coming our way.
