When you're in school do you ever feel like pushing someone when they're walking slowly in the hallway? Fruita 8/9 shares a school building with 8th and 9th graders. Any 9th grader you ask they will say all the 8th graders walk slowly and it annoys them. Most of us are trying to get to class and not be tardy. People are always stopping or walking 2 miles per hour and we won't get to class on time.
A 9th grader, Ariana Burgara-Haro states, “They are annoying and need to just move out of the way if they are going to walk slowly.” As mentioned they are annoying because we want to get to class and most of us 9th graders walk fast.
A 8th grader, Khloe Ruggles states, “I don't walk slowly in the hallways because I try to get to class on time. The slow walkers however do irritate me and it's mainly the boys.” Khloe states that it's the boys who are always walking slowly in the hallways. As long as she gets to class it's not a problem.
If you're reading this and you're a slow walker just mind that people get annoyed and they just want to get to class. If you get pushed, we do apologize most of the time but sometimes we don’t but don't take it offensively just know you're walking too slow. Us 9th graders understand now. We used to be in 8th grade.
