When you hear “The Nightmare Before Christmas” do you think that is a Halloween or a Christmas movie? Our Midway Messenger Team has interviewed your fellow 8th and Freshman classmates and asked what they think about it.
We have interviewed two freshmen and two 8th graders, one of your Freshmen was Ethan R. who said “Halloween because the main theme is kinda scary” Another Freshman that we interviewed was Makena O who thinks the movie is “Both because it has Christmas songs, and people but it also has Halloween songs, and people.” The two 8th graders that we interviewed were Naidelyn Z, who said “Halloween because it's more scary than sweet.” Another 8th grader that we interviewed was Ellie B who said “Both because the overall theme is Halloween but the center theme is Christmas. ”
I personally think that it is a Halloween. The reasoning is that when the movie starts in Halloween Town, the main character, Jack (the pumpkin king) is a skeleton. Another thing is that the majority of the characters in the movie are Halloween characters who sing Halloween songs. There is only one Christmas song in the movie which is called “What's this” out of 11 songs in the movie.
Now when you hear “The Nightmare Before Christmas” do you think it is a Christmas or Halloween movie? Have your Classmates convinced you to think differently? This movie is definitely a good movie to watch and is a good hit.
