The book Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, released on May 2, 2023, is a book that has been loved by many people. This book has been recommended by people all over the internet. This book is on the New York Times bestseller list, which means that this book has to be a favorite to many people. This book has become popular during the summer of 2023. If you don’t like enemies to lovers then this book may not be for you but if you look past that then this book is amazing in many ways. The fourth wing book is based mainly at Basgiath War College in Navarre. If you make it past the parpet then you are officially a student in the college. You go through a bunch of different phases in the college to eventually go to the front lines to fight off the enemies. Violet mainly studies to be a scribe but is then forced to go to the war college, in which her sister and “best friend” Dain thinks that she can’t make it as a rider.
Everyone considers Violet weak but her arch nemesis Xaiden Riorson, thinks that she’s more than strong enough to survive. This is ironic because towards the beginning of the book he said that he plans to take out the weak link (Violet). It’s clear that Violet and Xadein “hate” each other but in reality they both love each other. Hailey Latham, an 8th grader at Fruita 8/9, said, “This is the best book ever, my favorite part of the book is the details, and how the book draws you in.” She also said, “The cliffhanger in the end is amazing and awful at the same time.” Hailey makes amazing points about the details and how the book draws you in because this makes you want to read more and the sequel.
This book is also a favorite of Katriel Fury, an 8th grader at Fruita 8/9, “I really just got this book because of the dragons, but I found this book interesting with the reviews online.” Katriel also makes a good point with the dragons because of the fantasy aspect, and even though the names of most people or dragons are hard to pronounce, this book is something that can help you get out of your reading slump, just from the action alone. Most people who have heard of this book online have said that they have had this on their To Be Read (TBR) list. According to https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/61431922 the number of people that have given this book a 5 star review is more than 950,000 people. This must mean that this book is amazing, so would you read this book?
