High school can be a fascinating and scary place, especially on your first day. The staff at Fruita 8/9 have said what to do and what exactly every person should expect while going in on their first year of it. But high school isn't just like any other grade or school it's the last years of your education before college and other careers
The staff at Fruita 8/9 are the people you should take advice from the most though “You get more freedoms and responsibilities, and there are more peer groups for people” Mrs. Basham said which shows how she is all about making friends but she does want students to be more responsible because as she said high school is fun when you really are paying attention.
Another staff member said, “What a lot of students don't realize is your GPA starts right now in 9th grade”. But just like Mrs. Basham Mrs. Weathers said you must be responsible for your grades and focus. She was adamant about students' GPAs because they matter a lot at the end of high school.
To say the least, high school is a very fun place according to staff. However, you have to be responsible. To get into further education and to graduate you must be focused in your classes and work hard. You have many freedoms but you also have to be responsible. This is what to expect in high school.
A welcoming sign for kids going into highschool.
