Fridays off of school would be way better not just for athletes but also any student. As for athletes they would not miss as much school for sporting events. For students who aren't doing sports it would give them more time to do school work at home or allow them to get more sleep, time with friends and family etc. They would have to make school longer as well as christmas break and the other breaks not as long, but it would be way better on students.
I interviewed students to get their opinions on Fridays off. The first student I interviewed was Nate Wilkonson, a student athlete, in which he said “I think Fridays off would be so much better. For me personally I would have a lot more time to do homework as I need more time because of my sports that I do after school.” Nate has the same opinion as me, as it shows how much better it would be for a student athlete to have more time for homework.
I also interviewed a non-student athlete so I interviewed Nickelous Heathco to see their opinion on Friday off. He said “Friday off would be nice but, I don't really care just because then they would have to make school longer.” As you can see Nick doesn't really care but he also said what I said before that they would have to make school longer.
I wanted to ask a teacher for their opinion on this topic so I interviewed Mr. Birch, he said “Friday off would be great. I would have more time to grade and do whatever I wanted with my family.” Mr. Birch would also really like Fridays off which surprised me a little bit as I thought maybe he would disagree.
As you can see there is a few different opinions on the topic as I think we should have school off but you would just have to make it longer and Nate Wilkonson would like it Fridays off for more time to do homework and Nikkelouse Heathco doesn't really care as he would rather not have school as long and Mr. Birch would like Fridays off to grade papers and hangout with family. That's all of the reasons why I should have Fridays off of school.
