When talking about Tv,  it usually includes animation, Fiction, non-fiction,  horror and other genres of television.  96 Percent of American households in 2020 have a tv set to watch and enjoy. One of the most popular tv shows in 2023 was NCIS. It is about a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Some people might not agree with the idea of good or bad tv shows at all.

A good or bad show may not actually exist; it could be just as Ms.Billy, a secretary at Fruita 8/9 explains it as: "I don't think any shows are bad, it's just what your preferences are." Sometimes people may not have opinions on tv shows, it just depends on who you are talking to or what tv show you are talking about.

Some people, however, do have opinions. For instance, Mrs Knighton, a teacher at Fruita 8/9 says: “What makes it good is if I’m interested and I want to keep watching. What’s bad is if I’m bored and don’t want to pay attention.” People seem to enjoy things that may peak their interest rather than something that bores them.

There are many different genres of television for people with different interests.  Dateline is very popular, with over 66 million viewers today. Dateline is a legal reality tv show with new episodes every week, broadcast on NBC. The reason why people watch it is because it is really  interesting to watch the story unfold. There are many others though.
