Hit and Runs are Getting out of Hand 

More and more by the months that hit and runs are getting more popular in Frutita and all over the world. A lot of these hit and runs are happening around Fruita Trail. Fruita Trail is known for its beautiful views of the monument and nature. But knowing that these hit and runs are happening around there can be very dangerous for everyone and even Travelers out of state. 

We got an Interview from one of the counselors and this is what she says , “I really think that this is super unsafe. Including drunk drivers who are on the road and they crash into someone and leave them to die.”

 About 10,850 people die each year from drunk driving. And about 682,000 hit-and-run crashes take place per year over the last 10 years.  This is very dangerous because of people who have children on board and that could kill them. Then they could be charged with murder.

We Got another interview from a parent in the district named Johnathan. He says, “I really think that those people who do hit and runs, should have their license taken away and should not be able to drive until they learn how to again.” In most countries they are allowed to take away your driver's license if there is a cause. This means that people should be more careful driving around towns and cities or you might get your driver's license revoked.

This is why the hit and runs have been growing more and more each year. People should be more careful around who they drive with or the people around them.  Including under the influence of alcohol, People should also own up to their mistakes.
