Whether you go for style, price, luxury, or comfortability; Everyone has their own idea of the best shoe company. In 2023 the three largest shoe companies are as follows, Nike, Adidas, and Puma. Each of these companies have their own pros and cons, however which of them shines through.
For this first section we will focus on Nike being the main giant of the shoe industry, with a whopping worth of 146.71 billion dollars, Nike lands at number one in sales. Nike has 3 main shoes, not including the Jordan brand seeing as how it is a separate entity. The three best selling Nike shoes include the Air Force 1, the Dunk low and high, and lastly the Nike Blazer.
Starting with the Air force one, we have a classic shoe. Since its release in 1982 the Air force ones were a staple amongst sneaker collectors and regular people alike. At the moment the variety of Nike Air Force 1’s are ranging from 110-185 dollars, this makes the Air Force 1 the most expensive Nike shoe on this list. Considering the large price of the Air Force 1 you would expect high comfortability, however that is where you would be wrong. The Air force 1 lacks the comfortability that the price should reflect, and places it as the second most uncomfortable shoe on this list.
Next is the Nike Blazer. The Nike Blazer is a very popular shoe. The lowest priced blazer is 85 dollars and the highest 110. This makes the Nike Blazers the cheapest of the 3 shoes on this list. With the price being said you can imagine the comfortability will be reflected, which is true. The comfortability of the Nike Blazer is very low, putting it below the Air Force 1.
Next are the Nike Dunks, both lows and highs. Dunk SB’s will not be included because they are different in comfortability because of the extra padding added in order to make them skateboarding shoes. The Nike Dunk was Nike's response to the Jordan 1 in 1985 to gain more profits than the Jordan brand would make for Nike itself. The Nike Dunk lacks comfortability however as a sneaker it could take a good spot in your collection or to your current sneaker rotation.
Keeping each of these rankings in mind I would not put Nike as number one for comfort, however when it comes down to sheer style I would say that Nike lands in first place. So whether you are looking for a new pair of shoes or you are a collector and you go for style Nike is the brand for you.
Issue #3 will feature a close up spotlight on Adidas next.
