The classic Beauty and the Beast movie is being recreated as a play by The Theatre Project and a local theater. The play will be presented at the Avalon Theater in Grand Junction Colorado on April 22nd and the 23rd at 7:00 p.m. For adults to attend the cost is $25 for children it is $10 and seniors must pay $19. The play has all the fun songs and sweet scenes as the original Beauty and the Beast production.
To some people, this movie played a big role in their childhood. Belle could have been a Disney princess that many looked up to or were inspired by. A freshman at Fruita 8/9, Mindy Neilson says “I love the character Belle because she is thoughtful and she cares about others no matter what they look like.” Belle was definitely a wonderful influence on young people who watched this movie and saw how the kind hearted character interacted with others.
The play that is recreating this original is a lovely idea to create some in person magic for kids who have only seen it through screens. A freshman at Fruita 8/9, Madison Ottman says “The original Disney movies were inspiring especially the princess Belle because of her outstanding character and I am so excited to be able to see it in person to see the magic come alive.” Madison has made it clear that she will be at the play to see this original recreated right in front of her to feel the same magic she once did all over again.
The Beauty and the Beast play will be a fun time for all of those who attend. It is a family friendly event that is accessible to all ages. The price per person will differ depending on the age. Be sure to show up at the Avalon theater on April 22nd or the 23rd for a magical time.
