Location, The Dark Fortress

The Dark Fortress is located far from any major cities or kingdoms, in an area considered nearly uninhabitable. In some ways, this is fortunate, as most people think of it as a distant place of malevolent influence, rather than as an immediate threat.

There in the wilderness an immense structure of black stone stands beneath the sky as it had for more than fifty centuries. Its six towers stretch toward the heavens, sheltering abandoned ritual altars and astrological observatories within their heavily buttressed walls, concealing vast pits below their foundations where the torn remains of countless living sacrifices have once been thrown.
