The monster Adam is a patchwork of body parts from different human corpses - each part perfect, the whole grotesque. Large, raised scars crisscross his body and face. This enormous, tremendously powerful man stands more than eight feet tall. Adam's pale, gray skin is too thin to conceal the play of muscles and arteries underneath. His raven black hair flows long and wild, and at the edge of his eyes and mouth, the skin is bluish and shriveled. Thin, straight, black lips frame his perfect, pearly white teeth. His small, watery, blue eyes seem loosely anchored in their sockets, barely covered by his eyelids. His cheeks are likewise sunken, and his lips are a straight black gash across the face. His veins and ropy muscles are prominent under his almost translucent skin, and he appears to have no body fat at all. On close examination his facial features appear to be a grotesque parody of Victor Mordenhim's.
Above all, Adam hates his creator, Victor . He does not want to kill Victor, however, but instead wants him to live and suffer in misery. Adam is essentially Victor's shadow-self, an inescapable reminder of his maker's failings and vices. His emotional extremes of manic rage and bottomless despair mirror Victor's own detechment and repression.
Adam's first language is very proper and aristocratic Common, but he has learned every major language of the Core.
