Wrapping up the American Dream Unit and Looking Ahead

Since we're wrapping up the American Dream unit, I want to tie up any loose ends and give an update on where we're headed next.

American Dream Unit Loose Ends:

· Friday, February 7^th will be the last day to turn in ANY missing assignments from the American Dream unit:

o American Dream Stations

o American Dream Interviews

o John McCain 4 Ways of Defining

o Iconic American Images

o The American Dream Final Assessment Mini-Poster

Independent Reading Loose Ends & Where We’re Headed:

· Friday, February 7^th will be the last day to turn in ANY missing reading logs from the month of January (1/13-1/17, 1/20-1/24, and 1/27-1/31).

· The next reading log check will be this Friday, February 7^th.

· The next Independent Reading Portfolio progress check is this Friday, February 7^th.

o If you are working on one of the larger point-value assignments and won’t be finished by Friday, remember to show us your progress.

· The full 100 points of the Independent Reading Portfolio will be due Tuesday, February 25^th.

Where We’re Headed Overall:

· We will be starting a new, mini-unit on Wednesday, February 5^th called “Death of an Innocent or Death of an Ignorant?” that will last about a week and a half.
