Much of our class this week will be spent on multi-research projects (MGRPs), including a couple of mini-lessons on MLA style citations and the Works Cited page in MLA format. I have attached several handouts here that relate to MGRPs. Here are some relevant dates:

Dates for Checkpoints/Due Dates:

April 15—Topic chosen, narrowed, and approved AND two alternate genres chosen.

April 18—At least three sources located and properly documented in MLA style.

April 20—First alternate genre (NOT research paper) piece is due.

April 22—Second alternate genre (NOT research paper) piece is due.

April 27---Notes taken from three sources and turned in (can be by hand or typed, on notecards or paper—IMPORTANT: Be sure to notate each source from which you borrow with the information you take from it.

April 29—Research paper (including Works Cited page) is due.

May 6—Visual display is due and class will present in gallery walk style.

We will also spend time this week preparing for the Milestones test. You will take your test on Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4.

One skill we have focused on for the past few days is parallel grammatical structure. We will have a brief assessment over that on Wednesday of this week.

We will also spend a little time working with various poems this week as we prepare for the Milestones test.
