Here's an overview of the week ahead.

**You should prepare for our vocabulary quiz on Wednesday of this week. We'll do several things in class on Monday and Tuesday to continue working with the words from Patrick Henry's "Speech to the Second Virginia Convention."

We began our unit on argument last week, with students creating "bad idea" arguments and presenting them on Friday. We will get into the heart of this unit this week, as we read several works from the American Revolutionary era and analyze the techniques used by these authors to effectively communicate their ideas.
