Letter of Introduction

Here are the suggested guidelines for the letter of introduction you began in class. Consider including the following things:

• • General background about you and your family

  • Where you’ve lived, etc.

  • Your interests/activities outside of the school day (sports, clubs, jobs, hobbies, etc.)

  • Your feelings/attitude toward school, teachers, English classes, etc.

  • What you hope to do after high school, both short-term and long-term

  • Any medical issues you think teachers should be aware of

  • Any special concerns or worries as the semester begins

  • Anything you think makes you unique or special or that you’d just like your teacher(s) to know about you or your experiences
