Welcome back from break! I hope you hall had a nice, relaxing time.

Here's a peek at the week ahead:

-We will briefly go back to the text we read before break with some New England Primer questions

-We will read "The Trial of Martha Carrier" by Cotton Mather and compose narratives based on the accusations in the essay.Before the narrative, we will briefly review key elements of narrative writing.

-We will begin our unit argument papers this week, using the Opposing Viewpoints database to find topics and articles containing opposing points of view.

-We will do a brief character introduction and an introduction to themes before we begin reading The Crucible.

-As we finish each act, we will watch a portion of The Crucible film

-We will review hyphens this week as a key grammar concept.

-We will walk through the major components of our argument essays, including claim, counterclaim, textual evidence (integration and attribution), structure, and citing sources.
