Post date: Oct 12, 2015 1:46:59 AM
Here's an overview of our week:
We have three big things we will work on this week:
You will continue your analysis of the rhetoric and language used in the two Opposing Viewpoints articles you should have located on Friday. I have posted the directions below.
You will write an essay utilizing ethos, pathos, and logos to effectively argue that a bad idea of your choosing is really a good idea.
We will have our unit assessment over argument and rhetoric. More details will be given in class.
Vocabulary: We continue with vocabulary from the Sadlier-Oxofrd books this week, moving on to unit 7. Please follow our usual homework routine:
Monday--Choosing the Right Word
Tuesday--Synonyms and Antonyms
Wednesday--Completing the Sentence
Thursday--Prepare for Friday's Quiz (or complete alternate assessment if one is given)
