A.P. Literature for August 13-17

Here's an overview and some reminders regarding the coming week:

• We will have our assessment over Pride and Prejudice on Monday and will also complete our second multiple choice practice.

  • Drafts of your autobiographical essays are due for work-shopping on Tuesday. You may bring a hard copy or have access to an electronic version. We will have laptops on hand.

  • Please get a copy of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson if you haven't already done so.

  • Our second timed-writing Wednesday will be devoted to revising your thesis and topic sentences from last week's timed writing.

  • We will complete unit two vocabulary this week and have a quiz over it, including a few review items from last week, on Friday.

  • Much of our class time this week will be devoted to analysis and discussion of Pride and Prejudice, including completion of a mini-project--solo or with partners--related to the satire present in the book.
