Here is a quick overview of what we will be doing this week:
Vocabulary:
We will follow our usual routine with vocabulary this week, introducing the Unit 4 words on Monday and completing activities for homework each evening as detailed here:
Monday--Choosing the Right Word
Tuesday--Synonyms and Antonyms
Wednesday--Completing the Sentence
Thursday--Finish at home vocabulary writing assignment if not done.
Friday--Turn in vocabulary writing assignment at start of class.

This week's vocabulary assessment will NOT be our regular quiz. Instead, you will complete a writing assignment with the week's words AT HOME.
The Crucible
We will wrap up act II of The Crucible on Monday, including viewing it and completing a brief writing assignment related to the appendix of act II.
On Tuesday, we will continue the play, beginning Act III with another journal entry related to events of the play that requires you to use narrative writing techniques. As we continue to read, discuss, write about, and view The Crucible, we should finish it early next week and have a test over the play by the end of next week. More details will follow.
