Here's an overview of the week:
****Get a copy of the Matthew Ward translation of The Stranger by Albert Camus by next weekend. The first chapter should be read by next Monday.
Vocabulary: We continue in the Sadlier-Oxford book with unit 7 this week. Because of the odd schedule, we will have to adjust our vocabulary quiz--probably to next Monday.
The Things They Carried: Coming into the week, you should have read all but the final chapter, which needs to be read by Tuesday. We will complete several additional analysis activities related to the book this week, including an examination of music from the Vietnam era and how it connects to the ideas developed by O'Brien in his novel.
Our test over the novel is this Friday, and will include A.P. style passage-based multiple choice questions as well an essay question.
MGRP: Keep working. Our final in-class workday is likely this Monday, Oct. 8.
