As I posted last Wednesday, we are finishing the semester with independent novels and responses to them.

You can read any fiction or nonfiction book you like. It just needs to tell some sort of story.

If you have a book already, that's great. If not, you can fine one wherever you have access. Here is a link to an online library from which you can "borrow" books for 14 days at a time.

https://openlibrary.org/ You'll need to create an account in order to access it.

And here's another site with free ebooks: http://www.bibliomania.com/

If you have Amazon prime, remember that you have access to a lot of books, too.

Please read for 20-25 minutes each day and then complete a response journal entry based on the attached prompts or anything else that occurs to you about your book. Just a couple of paragraphs in response to your reading each day will be fine. Submit your reading response journals each day. We will also complete a few more portfolio assignments for the book you choose.

****When you write about your book, be sure to put its title at the top of the page.
