In the second half of chapter four, you met an associate of Gatsby's named Meyer Wolfsheim, a character based on the real Arnold Rothstein. Gatsby tells Nick that Wolfsheim "fixed" the 1919 World Series, which really happened. If you'd like to know a little more about it, here's a short video:

Reading Assignment: Read the first half of chapter 5 (I like to call it, "Reunited. And it feels so good." ), which starts on page 81 and ends on page 90. Stop after Gatsby talks about filling his house with "Celebrated people."
