Vocabulary: We will resume our work in the Vocabulary Workshop books this week with unit 5. Please follow our usual schedule for completing assignments:

  • Tuesday: Synonyms and Antonyms

  • Wednesday: Completing the Sentence

  • Thursday: Prepare for Friday's vocabulary quiz

Literature and Writing:

We will begin a new unit this week, focusing on argumentative techniques in literature, the communication around us and our writing. We will discuss and practice gathering evidence to support an argument using a variety of methods, including visuals and advertising.

Students will take a pre-assessment on Monday to allow us to evaluate their knowledge of argumentative techniques.
