Post date: Dec 03, 2018 1:23:0 AM

Having finished our EOC last week, we will turn our attention to two final things as we wrap up the semester: Multi-genre Research Projects and possibly the greatest American novel, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Multi-Genre Research Projects (MGRPs): Attached below are several documents related to MGRPs. You'll receive copies of these in class, but they are here in case you lose them or need to refer to them at home.

Here are the relevant dates for MGRPs:

Dates for Checkpoints/Due Dates:

Tuesday, Dec. 4—Topic chosen, narrowed, and approved AND two alternate genres chosen.

Thursday, Dec. 6 —At least three sources located and properly documented in MLA style.

Friday, Dec. 7—First alternate genre (NOT research paper) piece and reflection is due by end of class.

Tuesday, Dec. 11—Second alternate genre (NOT research paper) piece and reflection is due by end of class.

Thursday, Dec. 13---Notes taken from three sources and turned in (can be by hand-written or typed, on notecards or paper)—IMPORTANT: Be sure to notate each source from which you borrow with the information you take from it.

Monday, Dec. 17—Research paper (including Works Cited page) is due.

Tuesday, Dec. 18—Visual display is due and class will share its work in gallery walk style.

The Great Gatsby: I have posted materials and links related to Gatsby on a separate page.
