Assignments for March 30-April 3

Post date: Mar 30, 2020 5:14:9 AM

First, please complete this very quick survey. As I discussed with some of you on Thursday, we would like to have a "live" class this Wednesday to discuss a pair of poems (for old times' sake):

Vocabulary: This is a review week for the first nine units. Please complete the exercises on the following pages in the Vocabulary Workshop book for review, submitting your answers for the exercises in a Word document:

pages 42-43, 80-81, and 118-119

***There will NOT be a quiz over the review words this week. Just submit these exercises. You're welcome.

MGRP: If you have not worked on your research paper, please complete it before the end of spring break. Some of you have already submitted it. I will look over what you turned in and provide feedback before you submit papers to www.turnitin.com.

Remember that these papers should be 3-4 double-spaced pages in a 12-point font and should follow rules for MLA Style. Here is a link to a great resource for MLA, but you may also send me any questions you may have.

If you've already submitted your research paper, work on an additional alternative genre piece and its reflection and submit those.

Poems for Wednesday: I have attached the two poems we will discuss in our live lesson on Wednesday. Please read them in advance, annotating them for how they develop theme, tone, etc. If you can print them, please do.
