American Lit. for March 27-31

Post date: Mar 26, 2017 8:4:40 PM

Here's an overview of the coming week:

Argument Papers: If you haven't finished your paper, it's due on Tuesday, but there will be no more in-class work on it. You may submit a printed copy or email it to me. If you email it, check for a reply from me, letting you know I got it. If I don't reply, you should assume I did NOT get your paper. If you email your paper, please give me your articles and completed checklist in class.

Comma Splices/Fused Sentences: The checkup from last Wednesday revealed that many students could use continued work with this skill, so those needing it will continue to work on spotting and revising these two big grammatical no-noes this week.

American Romanticism: We will kick off a short unit on American Romantic literature this week, focusing on several poems, as well as the Robin Williams film "Dead Poets Society," which is a great connection to realism.

Spring Break: In case you missed it, we are out of school next week, April 3-7.

American Literature EOC: Our state Milestones test is coming up! We will be testing on May 1, 2, & 3 during our usual class period. We've talked about this all semester, and I'll have additional information for you in the coming weeks.
