American Literature--Chapter One

As we start off a new school year and semester, I am including a couple of reminders here, plus handouts that we gave out in class today.

• • Please bring $12.00 to buy a vocabulary book by next Monday, August 8. If that isn't practical, please let me or Mrs. Thrash know, and we will check a book out to anyone who needs it.

  • Be sure to get your syllabus signed and to have your parent/guardian reply to the request for parent contact information we gave you in class.

  • For Friday, bring something that represents your hopes, dreams, goals, aspirations, etc. to hang on our bulletin board as we begin to discuss the idea of The American Dream, something that we will return to throughout the semester.
