Energy: the character can detect the location of energy and energy sources, the greater the energy, the farther it can be detected

In addition the user can detect the presence of energy in an object for instance he could pick up a power pack for a weapon and know if the pack was empty full or somewhere in between.

so they are not visible. it also outlines anyone using a power or skill

Item/Location:

if familiar with an item or location the user can try to detect it, gaining knowledge of direction an approximate distance. a familiar item is something that the user once held and inspected. a familiar location is someplace that the user has been to and looked about( if the user was blindfolded in a room for example that will not count)

this allows the user to look for lifeforms in general or a specific type of life-form for instance a user could enter a derelict ship and try to detect any lifeforms on-board, or only large mammals or a specific luxan that he suspects is hiding there.

note that this power will detect lifeforms hidden behind doors or in shadows, but not locate someone hidden through a power.
