Altena Frostlands
Altena, also known as 'the Frostlands' or the ********** in ancient Snow elven Tongue, is a vast region set in the northern part of the palman Continent
It is home to the Men and elf, winter-kitsune and Snow Vulpine all call the region home.
The islands of Trestia(Volcanic) and Veridia(Herbal Paradise) lies to the southwest of Altena's Hold Capital - Néivéi and are under it's Jurisdiction, Northeast of Altena- Island is the frozen island of Chaiya.
Altena is known for its giant 'natural' bridges, if you can call them natural, they were carved long ago using Hyōton, the Altenians(those native to the province) treat Hyōton as a sacred Element, to them the gift of ice manipulation is a sign that individual is going to leave a mark on the world(or atleast the region)
The Sardaukar Training Facility is on the island of Chaiya in the town located in the island's frozen interior, they have a training camp on Trestia for 'heat training' and they also have a fort on Veridia to provide protection to herbalists during their incursions to the deadly island
The mainland is filled with a Thick evergreen forest, turning to wetland as you approach the fungal forests of valcena.
For some unknown reason a High amount of Inhabitants from this Province show advanced magical ability (people from here are naturally inclined to complicated magic)
****Sardaukar will take those with strong Elemental skills to train to become battlemages, others need to migrate south to Kyouringakure or Soukara.
