Tailblade

A tailblade is a small, sharp knife designed to be strapped to the tip of a wielder's tail.

Weapon Feature(s): A character wielding a tailblade can make a tail attack, adding its Strength modifier to the tailblade's damage.

It takes a full-round action to strap on or remove a tailblade. The wearer can loosely attach the tailblade (without strapping it securely in place) as a move action, but using a loosely attached tailblade gives the wielder a –4 penalty on all attack rolls made with the weapon, and other creatures get a +4 bonus on disarm combat maneuver checks to disarm the tailblade.

Characters proficient with simple weapons are considered proficient with such attacks and can apply feats or effects appropriate to natural attacks to tail attacks made with a tailblade. If used as part of a full attack action, attacks with a tailblade are considered secondary attacks.

Sap

The sap is a small, easily-concealed club consisting of a leather-wrapped lead weight attached to the end of a leather-wrapped coil spring or rigid shaft, with a lanyard or strap on the end opposite the weight. Materials other than lead and leather are sometimes used to construct these weapons, but the design of a soft covering over a dense weighted core remain.

Weapon Feature(s): nonlethal

Sea-Knife

A sea-knife is a long-handled weapon with a short blade. It is designed to be strapped to the ankle or foot of the wielder, pointing downward and jutting out beyond the wearer's leg.

Weapon Feature(s): A sea-knife can be used as a light melee weapon when the wielder is swimming, flying, or prone. This allows the wielder to use a two-handed weapon, or wield a weapon with one hand and carry a shield, and still make off-hand attacks with the sea-knife. Attacks made with a sea-knife take a –2 circumstance penalty on attack rolls in addition to all other attack penalties.

Donning or removing a sea-knife is a full-round action.

Note: The wearer cannot use a leg with a sea-knife strapped to it for walking or running.

Axes designed for warfare range in weight from just over 0.5 kg to 3 kg (1 to 6 pounds), and in length from just over 30 cm to upwards of 1.5 m (1 to 5 feet). Cleaving weapons longer than 1.5 m would arguably fall into the category of polearms.

Warhammer

The war hammer consists of a handle and a head. The handle may be of different lengths, the longest being roughly equivalent to the halberd, and the shortest about the same as a mace. Long war hammers are pole weapons (polearms) meant for use against riders, whereas short ones are used in closer quarters and from horseback.

Bardiche

The crescent axeblade of this polearm is attached to the haft at two points: the center of the blade attaches to a socket at the top of the haft, and the lower point of the blade attaches to a secondary mount point. The blade is often very long, sometimes almost as long as the haft.

Special: You gain a +2 bonus to your CMD to resist sunder attempts against a bardiche.

The pommel, cross guard, and grip are similar to a bastard sword. The heavy blade of the falchion gives it an almost axe-like ability to chop through armor and yet retain the advantages of a sword. Its weight requires two hands and special training to wield effectively and is therefore considered a martial weapon

Club, Great

This larger, bulkier version of the common club is heavy enough that you can’t wield it with one hand. It may be ornate and carved, reinforced with metal, or a simple branch from a tree. Like simple clubs, greatclubs have many names, such as cudgels, bludgeons, shillelaghs, and more.

Greatsword

The greatsword is the largest member of the sword family requiring two hands to wield. The hilt is elongated to accommodate the extra grip and the blade is doubled-edged. Some versions have parrying hooks (Parierhaken) on the blade about 4-8in (10-20cm) away from the guard. The blade is dull between the parrying hooks and the guard so it can be gripped there.

Guisarme

The basic guisarme is a weaponized pruning hook mounted on a long pole. It may or may not have a back spike. The convex edge (outside curve) is sharpened for slicing all the way up to the point of the hook.

Halberd

The business end of a halberd has three main parts: the axe head, the back spike and the spear tip. While many pole arms have similar structure, the halberd has a few distinguishing features. First and most important, the axe head is concave (curving inward) to nearly straight, instead of convex like most axes. The head is also set at an angle to the shaft instead of being mounted perpendicular. The back spike is fairly short and also angled slightly downward. The spear tip can be long and slender (typical for battle arms) or medium length and broader (often on ceremonial weapons). The whole weapon often reached 8 feet (2.4 meters) in length or longer with the spear tip.

Weapon Feature(s): Brace, Trip

Benefit: You can use an ogre hook to make trip attacks.

Weapon Feature(s): trip

Pickaxe

A two-handed version of the heavy pick, the brutal pickaxe is equally effective at breaking up earth and stone as it is at sundering flesh and bone. Often a weapon of convenience for commoners, the pickaxe is also a favorite among brutes and thugs who value the intimidation factor afforded by the immense weapon.

Planson

This 5-foot tapered pole is bound in metal with a narrow metal spike projecting from the top. The planson can be used as a club or as a sturdy, if top-heavy, spear to stop a charge.
