Duranium - 235

Duranium was a naturally occurring, extremely strong metallic substance. Due to its abundance in numerous planetary cores in the milky way, duranium was used for hull construction for starships and facilities by numerous races across the Milky Way galaxy,

Duranium however is not common within Triangulum and Andromeda galaxies, and the races native to those regions while still using Duranium, do not make starship hulls from it.

Applications - Ground/personal:

Spun duranium is used to create .50 caliber bullets in the Systems Alliance for sniper rifles.

Duranium body armor could Resist Strikes from nanopulse weapons.

The skulls of Soong-type and System's Alliance Infiltration Type androids were partly composed of duranium.

Reapers eschewed the use of Duranium due to inherit weaknesses to various forms of attack.

Duranium - 235 is refined from Dolamide Ore.

Polyduranium Alloy

Polyduranium is a material. Named for its relation to duranium, this substance was used by several states and races, mainly for defense.

The Ablative hull plating used by various races was made with a mix of polyduranium, kelindide, rodinium and toranium.

Polyduranium is also used in the casing of Klingon bat'leths.

Victorium Alloy

In Andromeda where Duranium is rare the palmans created a unique alloy called Victorium for their starship hulls giving them a natural advantage over the Tritanium hulls employed by the local races, they have never revealed the secret of its construction but its superfically similar to Polyduranium Alloy.
