TRUMP WINS!

(IN A STUNNING UPSET)

by Bradford Adkins, MSCIS

(NEW YORK, NY) – Hillary Clinton won California and New York, two (2) of the states with the biggest electoral votes but Donald Trump won the Presidential Elections in a stunning upset that only Facebook accurately predicted via a very public post that detailed their analytics report. CNN, Yahoo and almost all the major polls favorably published a Clinton win largely exposing their failed and obsolete polling methods. Trump’s win ended an eight (8) year Democratic Party dominance at the White House. His campaign mantra is to ‘Make America Great Again’ which obviously worked in this deepening recession times brought about by collective issues on the hidden costs of outsourcing jobs, lax immigration rules, among other ills of our society.

Speaking to her loyal supporters in perhaps her last opportunity to address them collectively, Wednesday morning in a New York hotel, Clinton urged them to give ‘Trump on open mind and a chance to lead.’ Highlights of her speech can be seen here: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/09/us/politics/donald-trump-won-now-what.html

In contrast, Trump watched the unfolding of the shocking election results at his own Trump Tower Hotel, then headed and spoke at the New York Hilton Midtown to his supporters. Trump vowed to unite a polarized nation lead efforts to ‘come together as one united people,’ he told loyal followers. “For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I’m reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so we can work together and unify our great country.’”

He furthers, “As I’ve said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement made up of millions of hard working men and women who love their country and want better brighter future for themselves and for their family.

It will be a movement comprised of people from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs who want and expect our government to serve the people—and serve the people it will.

Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream.

I have spent my entire life in business looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world.

That is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential. I’ve got to know our country so well. Tremendous potential. It’s gonna be a beautiful thing.

Every single American will have the opportunity to realise his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals. We’re gonna rebuild our infrastructure which will become, by the way, second to none and we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it.

We will also finally take care of our great veterans who’ve been so loyal and I’ve got to know so many over this 18 month journey the time I’ve spent with them in this campaign has been among my greatest honours. Our veterans are incredible people.

We will embark upon a project of national growth and renewal. I will harness the creative talents of our people and we will call upon the best and brightest to leverage their tremendous talent for the benefit of all. It’s gonna happen.

We have a great economic plan. We will double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world.

At the same time we will get along with all other nations willing to get along with us.

We will have great relationships. We expect to have great great relationships.

No dream is too big, no challenge is too great. Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach. America will no longer settle for anything less than the best.

We must reclaim our country’s destiny and dream big and bold and daring. We have to do that. We’re doing to dream of things for our country and beautiful things and successful things once again.

I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America’s interests first we will deal fairly with everyone. All people and all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership not conflict.

Reports have it that Trump’s transition team is ready to hit the ground running to get his 100-day plan rolling.

PACQUIAO WINS!

SEEN IN THE CITY:

(LAS VEGAS, NV) – Filipino Senator Manny Pacquiao, (turning 38 on December 17 this year) challenged and successfully won the World Boxing Organization (WBO) World Welterweight title by unanimous decision (jusdges’ score cards: 114-113, 118-109 & 118-109) against the 27-year old Jessie Vargas of Los Angeles, CA last Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the full capacity Thomas and Mack Center where 16,132 boxing fans cheered and Kenny Bayless officiated.

The night was dominated by the fans of Pacquiao, loudly chanting his name all throughout. Early on during the undercard fights, the venue was only 75% occupied but the audience swelled to full capacity just a few minutes before the main event.

Highlights of the fight are the unexpected early 2nd round knockdown of Vargas by Pacquiao and the near knockdown towards the end of the fight, again of Vargas.

USA Today captured the round-by-round PACQUIOA-VARGAS Fight summary in this link: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/boxing/2016/11/05/manny-pacquiao-jessie-vargas-round-by-round-updates-fight-results/93366556/

Also watching live at the venue are 2016 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. Also arriving at Thomas and Mack Center, just a few minutes before the Main Event is Undefeated Champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. flaring talks of another rematch all over again.

The Top Rank produced this fight (Previous fights were produced and shown either HBO or Showtime) and also handled directly the media credentialing (instead of the usual Magna-Media). As a media person though, I am most impressed by Wynn Hotel's handling of the event as they opened to press four (4) of their biggest ballrooms that served as the PACQUAIO-VARGAS Media Center during the entire duration of the fight week.

Meanwhile, Jessie Magdaleno defeated Filipino Flash, Nonito Donaire, Jr via unanimous judges’ decision (score cards: 118-110, 116-112 & 116-112).
