JUSTIN SMABY WINS EAT BULAGA’S SPOGIFY SEMI-FINALS!

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Becky Crisostomo, grandmother of now Manila-based lnternational Male Supermodel Justin Smaby, originally of Sacramento, CA gladly and hysterically informed this Columnist that his grandson won Eat Bulaga’s Semi-Final Round of sPOGIfy featuring the Singing Baes last Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

In an exclusive Facetime interview with Justin (while parents Joyce and Dave were cheering happilly in the background), he says “I just did what I what I have been trained for all these years. This contest is a culmination of everything I prepared for and all the things I can only dream of. It’s an extreme honor to reach and win the Semi-Finals of sPOGIfy. I owe it to my supporters, family and friends greatly that I am here at this stage of the competition.”

The 19-year old Smaby moved to the Philippines a year ago, after training heavily in modeling under the mentorship of noted Bay Area Trainor (and once a Male Supermodel himself) Charleston Pierce. Smaby walked for the Bay Area Fashion Week, 2014/15 and 2015/16 Seasons of the Manila Fashion Festivals, Designers Crisanta Malig, Renan Pacson, Randy Ortiz, 2014 Most Influential Designer-Asia Avel Bacudio, among others.

The first time Smaby joined and won the sPOGIfy daily contest last October 19, 2015, he trended highly on Twitter, even higher than Gilmore Girls. His Fan Page exploded with comments and well-wishers, mostly from the younger girls. Some commented that he looked like Hollywood Actor Chris Evans of Captain America fame.

His semi-final appearance was deferred several times due to time constraints and the APEC activities last month. And finally, he was able to perform last Tuesday and sang his way to another win (“Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko”) while off-cam audiences, cast and crew dance and sang with him.

The sPOGIfy featuring The Singing Baes Grand Finals date is to be announced soon!
