I enjoyed tremendously, K Brosas’ imitation of Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Zsa Zsa Padilla and a lot more of those Divas last Saturday night, September 3, 2011 at Cache Creek Casino’s Summer Outdoor Stage aka Parking Lot. Her ‘deaf and mute’ interpretation of ‘Tuwing Umuulan At Kapiling Ka’ is a comic riot beyond compare (wait, didn’t comedian Chokoleit also used to perform that?). Jon Avila, despite the very audible voice-enhanced minus one, was a hit with the female audiences while MC & Lassie provided comedic support on the headliner, Vice Ganda.

The Sacramento-adjacent Cache Creek Casino sold-out crowd favorably responded with Vice Ganda’s brand of humor, except for some who expressed disgust on the ‘bordering on violence’ type of physical abuse Vice Ganda did several times, on stage, on Lassie (hair pulling, slapping, & batukan are not fun on some sectors, you know…).

On the other hand, the other sold-out crowd at the almost 4-hour away Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV brought together, for the very first time on Reno stage, Aiza Seguerra, Soul Siren Nina, Bossa Nova Queen Sitti, Richard Poon, Duncan Ramos, Juris Fernandez & Princess Velasco in ASAP Sessionistas US Tour 2011. The group just had a very successful show at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. After Reno, we joined the staff and production crew around 1:30AM the following morning, in sending the group off to their next and last tour leg – Alaska.

Congratulations and special thanks to the producers (for the accomodation), Edna & Ben Ramos of Edna’s Ichiban Library (for Vice Ganda’s show in Cache Creek Casino) and to Eric & Emma Calayan in cooperation with Lerma Cailles of Berce Enterprises (ASAP SESSIONISTAS in Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV).
