48 ABS-CBN Stars To Storm SFO In June!

Hold that June vacation, as a record total of 48 ABS-CBN hottest stars will invade the Bay Area that summer! ABS-CBN Star Magic is now gearing up for an exciting extravaganzaon Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California (this venue to be further confirmed). This is definitely something to watch out for, as your hottest TFC teleserye bidas from the roster of Star Magic shall fly to the US to perform for our kababayans.

I can’t believe it has been amost four years when ABS-CBN first staged a comparable event of this magnitude (and that was 2005’s ABS-CBN Summer Kapamilya Caravan) when they flew in their ‘ASAP’ and ‘The Buzz’ families here in San Francisco’s Monster Park and attracted a record-breaking crowd of 35,000 as helicopters rove atop our heads recording the event.

Leading the meteor stars this time around, are young superstars from today’s hottest teleserye, ‘TAYONG DALAWA’, namely, KIM CHIU, GERALD ANDERSON and JAKE CUENCA. Joining them are the Ultimate Hearthrob PIOLO PASCUAL and Optimum StarCLAUDINE BARRETTO. They will be joined by Hearthrob SAM MILBY and Primetime King and Queen JOHN LLOYD CRUZ and BEA ALONZO. The ever beautifulKRISTINE HERMOSA and dashing DIETHER OCAMPO will also grace the events. Another loveteam that will bring the kilig is the pair of MATT EVANS and MELISSA RICKS.

The young ones will surely be thrilled to see the GIGGER BOYS display their stuff on the dancefloor. They are SAM CONCEPCION, DINO IMPERIAL, AJ PEREZ, CHRIS GUTIERREZ and ENCHONG DEE. Girls will scream their hearts out with the COVER BOYS, namely, ZANJOE MARUDO, VICTOR BASA, RAFAEL ROSELL and JON AVILA. Guys need not fret as ANGELICA PANGANIBAN, ROXANNE GUINOO, WENDY VALDEZ, REGINE ANGELES and BANGS GARCIA will make temperatures rise on the onset of summer. Fresh and oozing with talent, it would be such a delight to watch the likes of EMPRESS SCHUCK, ERICH GONZALES, LAUREN YOUNG and MEGAN YOUNG.

More dancing is in store with the likes of MAJA SALVADOR, SHAINA MAGDAYAO,RAYVER CRUZ and MICKEY PERZ. Rap is also covered with the Amir of Rap, CARLOS AGASSI. Not to mention, be serenaded by the crooners of Star Magic such as SHERYN REGIS, JED MADELA, NIKKI GIL, RICHARD POON, RONNIE LIANG, JAY R SIABOC and YENG CONSTANTINO.

Any show will be incomplete if there is no one to tickle our funny bones. Laugh your hearts out as KITKAT, EMPOY, CHOKOLEIT and POKWANG take centerstage.

John Lloyd Cruz to grace Bay Area premiere of “You Changed My Life”

The highest-grossing Filipino movie team-up in 2008 is back with a U.S. premiere of the much awaited follow-up to their hit movie, A Very Special Love.

John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo – both named recently as SM Cinema Box OfficeKing and Queen in 2008 - reprise the loveable characters of Miggy Montenegro and Laida Magtalas, respectively in You Changed My Life.

As part of the 15th anniversary celebration of TFC, ABS-CBN International’s Starry Starry Store and Star Cinema are bringing John Lloyd Cruz to grace the movie’s premiere on March 1 scheduled in San Francisco Bay Area.

In You Changed My Life, the story takes off six months after Laida has won the heart of her Prince Charming, Miggy Montenegro. Life has been rosy – she got promoted in Flippage publishing firm which is housed in the same building where Miggy works.

Neither one thought that anything can shake their perfect world until Miggy himself gets promoted in his job but has to move to Laguna. Laida, on the other hand, is offered a job in Canada. With their careers leading Laida and Miggy down different paths, their relationship suffers from the pressures of being apart.

Will Laida and Miggy be able to keep their happily ever after state? Or, will they realize that living the dream is actually harder than attaining it?

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, You Changed My Life is a post-Valentine presentation that also stars Rayver Cruz, Dante Rivero, Rowell Santiago, Matet De Leon, Bernard Palanca, Joross Gamboa, Johnny Revilla, Bing Pimentel, Al Tantay, among others.

Engaged. After meeting Livermore’s Benjamin Bronson at the Tri-Valley Single’s ward in Dublin in October 2007, finally, San Jose’s Rochelle Balmori is now engaged- to-be-married, on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Oakland Temple in Oakland, CA. Dual receptions are scheduled in Livermore, CA and at the Fernwood Gardens in Quezon City, Philippines. Dual honeymoon also has been booked in the Philippines (at Bohol’s nature wonder, Chocolate Hills and the fine beaches of the South) and in Kauai, Hawaii. Congratulations & Best Wishes to the future Mr. & Mrs. Bronson!

Married. Also, my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Mr. Celso Costelo and the former Miss Fe Cabanas of San Jose who got married at St. Victor's Church on January 18, 2009.
