The California Care Providers Network (CalCPN) held its First Annual Christmas Party and Induction of Officers last Friday, December 4th at the Marriott San Francisco Airport Waterfront. The CalCPN (Founder and President is Always Available DME's Janet Valencia, RN, rightmost) is a networking organization of individuals, professionals, and businesses who share the synergy of compassion to advocate for seniors and those with physical and mental challenges. COMPETES IN 64^TH MISS UNIVERSE

(LAS VEGAS, NV) – The reigning Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Pia Wurtzbach checks-in at Planet Hollywood the early morning of Tuesday, December 1 and taunts fate as she tries her best to write her beautiful legacy to be the country’s 3^rd Miss Universe (after Gloria Diaz and Margarita Moran in 1969 and 1973, respectively).

Last September, 2015, WME | IMG, the new franchise owners of the most prestigious and most awaited pageant in the world - announced it wholly acquired The Miss Universe Organization from now Presidential Candidate Donald Trump (who sold his majority shares after anti-Latino campaign statements were attributed to him, prompting the more immigrant-friendly NBC to take the opposing side and stop airing the pageant), expanding the company’s portfolio of global events and media properties across entertainment and live events.

And then in late October, 2015, IMG and The Miss Universe Organization announced “THE 64th ANNUAL MISS UNIVERSE® PAGEANT” has been picked up by Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX). The three-hour annual event will air live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday, Dec. 20 (7:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. As part of IMG’s agreement with FOX to broadcast MISS UNIVERSE®, the network will also have domestic rights to air MISS USA®.

“MISS UNIVERSE® is a unique, global media property and this partnership with FOX marks a new era for The Miss Universe Organization as a whole,” said Michael Antinoro, SVP of Original Content, IMG. “As the broadcast leader in innovative and groundbreaking live events, FOX is the perfect partner as we look to implement new and exciting changes to this show and the franchise.”

“The MISS UNIVERSE® and MISS USA® pageants are iconic television events loved by generations of viewers around the world,” said David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “We are very excited to partner with IMG and The Miss Universe Organization to infuse a fresh new energy into these perennial broadcast favorites.”

Known for its energy and endless entertainment options, the city of Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino have hosted many MISS UNIVERSE® and MISS USA® pageants over the years.

“Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has been a fantastic partner to The Miss Universe Organization, and it will be a great home for ‘THE 64th ANNUAL MISS UNIVERSE® PAGEANT,’” said Paula M. Shugart, President of The Miss Universe Organization. “The resort’s AXIS Theater is a premier entertainment venue, and the ideal site for the pageant’s inaugural broadcast on a new network.”

The MISS UNIVERSE® telecast is one of the most-watched events in the world, with distribution in approximately 190 countries and territories. Contestants from more than 80 countries will vie to become the next Miss Universe in this year’s special programming event, which will conclude with current Miss Universe Paulina Vega of Colombia crowning her successor.

Prior to the acquisition, IMG had produced a number of pageants for The Miss Universe Organization and will continue to do so with this year’s MISS UNIVERSE® telecast. Furthermore, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino was selected as Host Site.

So, where does this put Wurtzbach and her chances for the crown? So far, reports coming from Sin City has been encouraging, as she was one of only a few handpicked among eighty-one (81) beauties from all over the world by major sponsor, CHI Hair Products to shoot a promo pageant material upon arrival. No pressure, coming from the heels of Miss Philippines’ back-to-back wins (Cebu’s Jamie Herrell and Manila’s Angelia Ong, 2014 and 2015 winners, respectively) from Miss Earth (Congrats, Angelia Ong and Kagandahang Flores Head Trainer Rodin Gilber B. Flores aka Kuya Rodgil!) as she’s full of positive energy and ample preparation.

The Kapuso Network spreads love among viewers all over the world as Kapuso artists and trusted News and Public Affairs personalities come together for a happy and meaningful celebration of the season.

In a star-studded Christmas Station ID, GMA Network welcomed the most-awaited season with the “MaGMAhalan Tayo Ngayong Pasko” Christmas SID, which airs worldwide on GMA’s flagship international channel GMA Pinoy TV.

Director Cesar Cosme, who helmed the project, says the video highlights “genuine and pure love” like that of a child.

One with the Network’s message of love are GMA’s best and brightest stars including Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, AiAi de las Alas, Lovi Poe, Heart Evangelista, Michael V, Willie Revillame, Dennis Trillo, Tom Rodriguez, Megan Young, Carla Abellana, Barbie Forteza, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Andre Paras, Ruru Madrid, Gabbi Garcia, and German Moreno.

They are joined by Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon leading the Eat Bulaga Dabarkads, with the phenomenal love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, together with Lola Nidora, Lola Tidora and Lola Tinidora.

This year, the Christmas station ID theme song was sung by Pambansang Bae Alden Richards; with lyrics written by Brian James Camaya and Clare Yee, and music composed by Simon Tan.

Days after it was released on iTunes, GMA’s Christmas station ID theme song titled “MaGMAhalan Tayo Ngayong Pasko” already became number one among iTunes PH top singles. It also became #27 on iTunes Singapore and #58 on iTunes Macau.

The single, released under GMA Records, is available for download and streaming worldwide with all proceeds going to GMA Kapuso Foundation’s Typhoon Lando relief efforts.

Netizens took notice of the theme song for its upbeat and catchy tune, as well as its positive and uplifting message. Twitter user Amy Zulueta shared, “Great job! Short but meaningful! Listen to the lyrics and understand its message.”

Kapuso netizens all over the world also expressed gratitude to GMA for the chance to help marginalized Filipinos. “Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help others thru this!” says Instagram user janeybuena.

Alden’s rendition of the Christmas station ID theme song also earned praises from netizens. Facebook user Juliet Regulto says, “Ang ganda ng pagkakanta. May puso talaga, nakakaiyak. God bless Alden. More blessings to come. Stay humble.”

Moreover, the 2015 GMA Christmas station ID continues to touch hearts worldwide as it reminds viewers of the true meaning of the Christmas season – to love one another.

The 2015 GMA Christmas station ID “MaGMAhalan Tayo Ngayong Pasko” was created by the GMA Program Support Department, directed by Cesar Cosme and shot by the Network’s Post Production Department.

Headed by GMA Program Support Department First Vice President Regie Bautista, the team includes Assistant Vice President for Marketing Communications Hasmin Marable, Senior Project Manager Minette T.
