AEGIS at Cache Creek June 30 & July 1

Fronted by sisters Mercy and Juliet Sunot, these Filipino popular contemporary musicians’ successful singles include "Luhà" ("Tears"), "Halík" ("Kiss"), and "Basáng-basâ sa Ulán" ("Drenched in the Rain"). The band’s unique name stems from formerly being known as "AG’s Sound Trippers." "AG’s" was the name of their manager’s company coined from their last names Abenoja-Galindo. But, since the band name was too long, they opted to go for “AG’s” or AEGIS. Moreover, they claim the literary meaning of AEGIS is "shield" or "protection". The group decided to adapt this word as their name because it expresses what they want to share with their listeners; that is, to feel protected and shielded from being lonely and/or broken hearted.

AEGIS plays Cache Creek Casino Resort’s Club 88 on Saturday, June 30 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 1 at 4 p.m. Tickets are just $65/$55/$45. For tickets, contact Tickets.com online at tickets.com or by phone (800) 225-2277; orcachecreek.com and Cache Creek Casino Resort’s guest services desk.
