Boxer Jerry Agonoy, Jr to fight during PISTAHAN FESTIVAL

This Columnist was fortunate to have met in person Boxing World’s newest find – Jerry Agonoy, Jr, who will fight during this weekend’s Pistahan Festival.

Here are personal and more information, according to online posts from The Alex Reviews (http://thealexreviews.com/life-style/an-interview-with-jerry-foronda-agonoy-jr):

From an early age, Agonoy always enjoyed combative sports. Partaking in Tae Kwando, wrestling and other sports throughout high school only fueled his love of competition. But before Pacquaio and the Donaires came into the boxing spotlight, he grew up watching legends such as Mike Tyson.

Agonoy states that he idolizes Manny Pacquaio who he looks up to because of his hard work and dedication. Agonoy knows that it takes time and effort to become a great fighter and acknowledges Pacquaio as a renowned boxer who came from humble beginnings and now best represents the Filipino nation.

He was also a soldier in the U.S. Army from 2003-2010 when he was honorably discharged. He was deployed to Iraq for a total of three times where he saw a lot of action.

Agonoy is familiar with hard work and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure quality performances. His usual routine at the Milpitas Boxing Gym is extremely rigorous with different types of training. He endures strength and conditioning exercises and one on one practice with his coach. While boxing he expects a good fight as well as good fun.

His current score is 1-1 losing by a close decision in his last match. Agonoy has a confirmed fight on August 11 at the Pistahan Festival in San Francisco. This will be his third match. Good luck Jerry Agonoy!”
